Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
Start Date: November 2024

GSL Education are looking for SEN Graduates to work at client Special Needs Schools starting on November 2024 in the York area. As a SEN Graduate you will gain solid experience working within the SEN sector which will be of great value to aspiring Graduates looking for immediate employment opportunities!
The position:
- Supporting students that have special educational needs including ASC, SEMH and PMLD
- Working alongside the class teacher and other learning support assistants to raise the attainment of students.
- Using initiative to create an engaging and motivating learning environment for all students.
To be successful:
- Experience mentoring, tutoring or teaching is advantageous, but not essential.
- You must have a passion for education and inspiring pupils to reach their full potential.
- You must be compassionate, hardworking, proactive and resilient.
- You must be committed to safeguarding, pupil welfare and following all school policies rigidly.
- You must be able to adapt and respond quickly and appropriately to a variety of situations.
- You must be in possession of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to pay and apply for one through GSL Education
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
