£155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are on the lookout for a dynamic Design Technology Teacher in Sheffield (S35) who is eager to inspire students through hands-on learning and innovation, cultivating their creativity and problem-solving skills in the classroom.

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire students to develop their design and technology skills. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive Design Technology curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ educational journeys and help them discover their passion for design and technology.

Responsibilities of the Design Technology Teacher:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Design Technology curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their design and technology skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Organise and oversee practical sessions, ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements of the Design Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at a secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching Design Technology.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Design Technology (desirable but not essential).
  • DBS on the Update Service required.
