GSL Education is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Scarborough. This school caters to children aged 8-16, providing a stable, supportive, and nurturing environment for pupils who may require additional assistance. The school takes pride in its dedicated support network, quality education, and services for both students and their families.
We are seeking a driven, reliable, and motivated SEMH Teacher to join the team on a long-term basis. You must have experience of the drive to support and Teaching children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will be working with both Primary and Secondary SEMH pupils, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met, with a key focus on reducing exclusions by offering alternative pathways.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate patience, passion, and a genuine desire to see your students succeed.
Requirements:
- QTS Qualification (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Experience working with SEMH pupils in Primary and/or Secondary settings.
- Strong understanding of the specific needs of SEMH learners.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
