SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day

Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you have a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, GSL Education Lincoln have the perfect role for you in Grantham!

We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment where you will play a key role in helping students with SEMH needs succeed in their learning and development.

Responsibilities as a SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in their academic and personal growth.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Assist in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils.
  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or working with SEND/SEMH children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)..
