SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you have a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, GSL Education Lincoln have the perfect role for you in Grantham!
We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment where you will play a key role in helping students with SEMH needs succeed in their learning and development.
Responsibilities as a SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with SEMH needs in their academic and personal growth.
- Work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans.
- Assist in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils.
- Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or working with SEND/SEMH children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work in challenging situations.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)..
