SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential by providing personalised support tailored to their needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Assist teachers in implementing educational programmes.
  • Help create a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Encourage students' social and emotional development.
  • Support students with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to meet the needs of the students.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Experience working with SEND/SEMH students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
