Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day

GSL Education Lincoln are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a vibrant school in Lincoln. This role requires experience working with children or young people with SEN and involves assisting the class teacher with developing and implementing personalised learning plans.

As an SEN Support Worker, the ideal candidate will provide tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning, enhance their independence, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to help students achieve their learning goals.
  • Supporting students with personal care needs, if necessary.
  • Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Promoting a positive learning environment that fosters inclusion, safety, and respect.

Required Qualifications for an SEN Support Worker:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with knowledge of best practices in these areas.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
