Location: Stockport
Salary: £130 to £170 per day
Start Date: After half term

A Good and improving school in Stockport, which is part of an excellence trust, is seeking a motivated Teacher of Art and Design to join their team. You will be working in a positive and supportive environment, teaching Year 7 , 8, 9 , 10 and 11 students. This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact and help students develop their artistic skills.

Responsibilities of the Teacher of Art and Design:

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art and Design lessons to year 7, 8,9,10 and 11 students.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that encourage students to explore different art forms and techniques.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality art curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe and organised classroom space, ensuring all materials and equipment are used responsibly.

Requirements for the Teacher of Art and Design:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at Year 7,8,9,10 and 11.
  • A passion for art and creativity, with the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
