Teaching Assistant
Location: Winchester
Salary: £12.82 - £14 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a dynamic environment and support students in reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons and activities.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support children with additional needs, ensuring they feel confident and engaged.
- Monitor student progress and report back to the teacher.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help students with their social and emotional development.
To be a successful Teaching Assistant, you need:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is beneficial.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to engage students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A passion for education and supporting young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
