We are seeking an SEN Early Years TA to join our secondary schools in Wickford, providing essential support to young learners with additional needs. As an SEN Early Years TA, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised learning strategies, helping students develop key skills in a nurturing and structured environment. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting children with SEN and a desire to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN in an early years setting.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and tailored learning activities.
- Implement individualised learning plans to support students' development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young learners.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support students' progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Early Years TA or in a similar role.
- A strong understanding of SEN, including ASC, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
