Teaching Assistant
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: After February 2025 Half Term
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are offering an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant (TA) in Gainsborough. This role is perfect for someone who wants to work in a supportive and dynamic school environment, helping students reach their full academic potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons, working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, and ensuring that all students are supported in their learning journey.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with their learning tasks.
  • Help students develop social and academic skills in a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and assist with behaviour management strategies.
  • Ensure students are equipped with the resources they need to succeed.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Encourage student participation and maintain high levels of student engagement.
  • Support students in the use of educational technology and digital learning tools.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on student progress and any challenges faced.

TA Skills & Qualification:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or a related qualification.
  • A degree in Psychology, Education or in a similar field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A proactive and supportive approach to student learning.
  • Ability to manage classroom activities and assist with behaviour management.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
