Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in schools across Winchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting teachers and supporting students with their learning. You will provide guidance to students, ensuring they stay engaged with their lessons and develop essential skills. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, helping to create a nurturing classroom atmosphere where all students feel encouraged and valued.
As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, what you have to do:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them grasp key concepts.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Support students in developing their literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom management and encourage student participation.
- Offer additional support to students who require extra help with their learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet students' educational needs.
TA Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role is beneficial.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred but not essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
