Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time / part-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and proactive ASD Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Weymouth, where you can make a meaningful impact on student’s educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities of ASD Teaching Assistant (TA): 

  • Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist teachers in developing and adapting lesson plans to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Foster student engagement, promoting confidence and independence in their educational journey.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress, maintaining clear communication with staff and parents.

Requirements for the role of ASD Teaching Assistant (TA): 

-        Experience working with students with autism is advantageous. 

-        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

-        A compassionate, patient approach to supporting learners. 

-        Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. 

-        Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one
