Sports Coach – KS3 to KS4
Location: Pontefract
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: February 2025
Contract Type: Day to Day / Long Term, Full Time / Part Time

GSL Education are currently looking for a Sports Coach to support KS3 to KS4 students in Pontefract. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual with a love for sports to make a positive impact on students' physical education, teamwork, and overall personal development.
As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering sports lessons, encouraging students to engage in physical activities, and helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive school environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to foster a love of sports while contributing to the physical and mental well-being of young people.
What you have to do as a Sports Coach:
- Lead and deliver engaging sports lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Help students develop their physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Support the planning and delivery of after-school sports activities and clubs.
- Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students.
- Assist in managing the classroom environment during PE lessons.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into the wider school curriculum.
Sports Coach Requirements:
- A background in sports coaching or physical education is preferred.
- Experience working with young people, particularly in a secondary school or educational setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A passion for sports and encouraging physical activity in young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
