Cover Supervisor – KS3 to KS4
Location: Worksop
Start Date: February 2025
Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Contract Type: Day to Day / Long Term, Full Time / Part Time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work with KS3 and KS4 students in schools across Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or those looking for flexible work in an educational setting.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task, and managing classroom behaviour. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment while following the school's policies and lesson plans.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and focused learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and provide support to students during lessons.
- Encourage student engagement and maintain discipline following school policies.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting any incidents.
- Provide guidance and support to students to help them stay on track with their learning.
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and continuity of learning.
- Adapt to different school environments and year groups as required.
Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people as a Cover Supervisor or similar support role is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- A degree in Psychology, Education or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in various school settings.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
