Teaching Assistant

Location: Wareham

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Wareham. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support students in their academic journey, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students.
  • Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Encourage students to engage in their learning and build essential skills.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional needs to ensure they receive appropriate guidance.


Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and encouraging approach to supporting students.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
