Job Role: RE Teacher
Location: Hackney
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a dedicated RE Teacher to join a well-respected Secondary School & Sixth Form in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate RE Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Education (RE) to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking and discussion.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the RE curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Strong experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • A degree in Religious Studies or a closely related subject.
  • A Humanities Degree or PGCE alone will not be considered for this role.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A passion for Religious Education and a commitment to student success.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service and strong professional references.
