Join Our Team as an SEN Teacher

Salary Scale:  £31,650 to £49,084 annually

Start Date: ASAP

 SEN Teacher Role:

  • Deliver and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students. (The ability to plan learning is an advantage.)
  • Develop individualised learning plans and resources to support students' understanding and proficiency.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEND and College education.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and equality.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the English curriculum and resources.

Requirements for SEN Teacher Role:

  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a similar qualification.
  • Passionate about working within an SEND setting and making a positive impact on students' lives
  • A full checkable work history
  • Passion for and experience with behaviour support.
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

To work with GSL Education as SEN Teacher, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
