SEN Teacher
Location: Hook
Salary Scale: £31,650 to £49,084 annually

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of our SEND students (ages 16-25). You will contribute to the development and review of the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the diverse needs of our learners. Additionally, you’ll stay up to date with best practices in SEND and college education, providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment. SEN Teacher Role:
- Deliver and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students. (The ability to plan learning is an advantage.)
- Develop individualised learning plans and resources to support students' understanding and proficiency.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and achievements.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEND and College education.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and equality.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Contribute to the development and review of the English curriculum and resources.
Requirements forSEN Teacher Role:
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a similar qualification.
- Passionate about working within an SEND setting and making a positive impact on students' lives
- A full checkable work history
- Passion for and experience with behaviour support.
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
