Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Grantham

Start Date: Immediate 

Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a fantastic SEN school in Grantham. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide vital support to students, ensuring they feel valued, confident, and empowered to succeed. In this role, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment, offering both academic and emotional support to help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.


Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable).
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work with the ability to respond quickly to short-notice calls.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm and patient attitude when dealing with students.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
