SEN Math Teacher
Location: Southampton
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time
Salary: £110 - £180 per day
Start date: ASAP
If you are an experienced SEN Math Teacher then this is your opportunity to shine. GSL Education is looking for a passionate SEN Math Teacher (Special Education Needs) for a ASD school for children aged 7-16 with Autism, ADHD and SEMH. This is an outstanding school with a great reputation, only been open 3.5 years. They are seeking a SEN MathTeacher; someone who is experienced in teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies.
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE UK QTS AND UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE.
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Math Teacher:
- Create and deliver personalised learning plans for students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals.
- Expertise in teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, reporting regularly.
- Manage challenging behaviour with effective strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development for SEN practices.
Requirements for a SEN Math Teacher:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Experience in teaching History, Geography or Religious Studies to SEN students, preferably in schools.
- Strong knowledge of SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
