Dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant – Okehampton
Location: Okehampton
Salary: £80-£90 per day

About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 3 to 19, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their potential. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
- Assist in implementing personalised education and behaviour plans.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to support emotional well-being.
- Help students develop social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting activities to suit individual needs.
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are mandatory.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet students’ diverse needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
