Salary Range: £140 – £190 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: February 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that align with the national curriculum and inspire students to develop an interest in business, finance and economics. You will help students understand the real-world applications of business principles and cultivate analytical and problem-solving skills essential for success in further education and professional life.
Business Studies Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Business Studies lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Teach core business concepts, including marketing, finance, operations management and entrepreneurship.
- Develop students’ commercial awareness and ability to think critically about business trends.
- Foster problem-solving and strategic thinking skills through case studies and real-world applications.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, offering tailored support and intervention where necessary.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques and resources to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assess student progress through assignments, coursework and formal assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to explore career pathways in business, finance and management.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, upholding high standards of behaviour and learning.
Business Studies Teacher requirements:
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) and must hold a PGCE in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Business Studies at KS3 and KS4, with a strong grasp of the national curriculum.
- A passion for developing students’ commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, enabling students to develop independent thought and inquiry.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
