GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and flexible Cover Teacher to join our partner school in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for confident professionals who thrive in diverse classroom settings and are passionate about making a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Teacher, you will step into classrooms across different subjects, ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences. Your adaptability and ability to engage with students will play a key role in maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to create a productive learning environment.
- Build a rapport with students and staff, quickly adapting to the needs of each classroom.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and complete any required marking or reporting.
- Uphold the school’s values and promote a positive learning culture.
Requirements of Cover Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching across a range of subjects and year groups is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
