Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / April 2025
Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

As a Teacher of Science, you will help foster a stimulating learning environment where students can develop a deep understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through engaging lessons and hands-on experiments. Responsibilities of a Teacher of Science:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons tailored to different learning needs.
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages, ensuring lessons align with curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, coursework, and mock exams, providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to develop problem-solving and analytical skills through practical experiments and scientific discussions.
- Support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, helping them build confidence in their knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel supported and motivated. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged to excel.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and classroom engagement.
Science Teacher Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Prior experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Ability to deliver Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with confidence.
- Strong lesson-planning and classroom management skills.
- A passion for nurturing young minds and driving academic success.
