Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / After Easter 2025
Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on students' learning while fostering a love for literature and effective communication.
As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering a well-structured curriculum, equipping students with the skills they need to succeed academically and beyond. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a supportive and enriching learning experience.
As an English Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons in English Language and Literature, ensuring they align with the national curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their development.
- Encourage students to enhance their critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills through interactive learning.
- Teach across Key Stages, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Maintain a well-managed classroom environment that promotes a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Prepare students for examinations, coursework, and assessments, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best teaching practices and enhance student learning outcomes.
- Inspire a passion for reading, writing, and language skills among students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or a related field.
- Experience as an English Teacher is essential.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
