Year 6 Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: £120 - £213 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: After February Half-Term

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are excited to offer a Year 6 Teacher opportunity at a primary school in Hull. This position is ideal for an experienced teacher with a strong passion for motivating and empowering students to excel in their SATs preparations. 

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will focus on providing targeted SATs preparation and intervention support to small groups and individual students. Your role will be to ensure students feel confident, prepared, and motivated to tackle their assessments. You will use your expert knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs requirements to design engaging lessons and intervention sessions tailored to meet the needs of each student.

Responsibilities of the Year 6 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver focused SATs preparation lessons and intervention sessions.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to boost confidence and ensure understanding of key concepts.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and feedback, tracking progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Motivate students and create a positive learning environment that encourages effort and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive planning and assessment strategies for Year 6 students.
  • Help students develop strong test-taking skills and exam strategies.

Requirements of the Year 6 Teacher:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 6 and preparing students for SATs.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective interventions for students.
  • Highly motivational, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Commitment to supporting students in reaching their full potential.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
