SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield
Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 8.15 am - 3.45 pm
Contract Type: Full-time and Long-term
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are excited to offer the opportunity to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a wonderful school in Enfield. As a key member of the support team, you will work with students who have complex needs, ensuring that they receive the care and assistance they need to thrive in their educational journey.
In this role as a SEN TA, you will support students on a 1:1 basis, helping them with daily tasks, personal development, and educational goals. The successful candidate will need to be proactive and resilient, as you will play an integral part in supporting students in achieving their potential in an inclusive, child-centred environment.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your responsibilities will be:
- Provide 1:1 support for students with complex needs, tailoring your approach to meet individual requirements.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised educational support and help students engage with learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and personal development through a child-centred approach.
- Support students with emotional and social challenges, ensuring their well-being.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to monitor progress and address concerns.
Requirements for a SEN TA:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN or complex needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Ability to provide 1:1 support using a child-centred approach.
- Resilient, proactive, and empathetic attitude towards working with students with additional needs.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
