Autism Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start  Time: Immediate

Hours: 8:30 am - 4:15 pm
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

At GSL Education, we are seeking a passionate and child-centred individual Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant school in Newham. The role involves providing one-to-one support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities of the Autism Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Deliver one-to-one support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs.
  • Implement a child-centred approach to encourage learning and development.
  • Assist students in developing communication, social, and independence skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to adapt and deliver tailored lesson plans.
  • Demonstrate resilience and initiative in managing challenging situations.

Requirements of the Autism Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of child-centred educational practices.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and promote a supportive environment.
  • Proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a dynamic school setting.
