Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Ringwood
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Support Worker to join a dedicated school in Ringwood. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who require additional emotional and mental health support, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and the skills to succeed in their education and personal lives.
Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Help create a safe and supportive environment where students feel valued and understood.
- Assist teachers in managing behaviour and promoting positive interactions in the classroom.
- Implement strategies to help students cope with challenges and improve their well-being.
- Collaborate with school staff and external agencies to support students effectively.
Requirements of a Mental Health Support Worker:
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people with mental health needs (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to the needs of different students.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
