Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Bournemouth. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide 1:1 or group support to students with a range of SEN needs.
  • Assist the teacher in delivering tailored lessons and managing the classroom environment.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning space for all students.
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic development in line with individual education plans.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (preferred).
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
