Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour

About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will have a range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the learning, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of our pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support
- Support classroom activities under the teacher's guidance.
- Assist students with learning tasks and ensure comprehension.
- Foster positive relationships and encourage student wellbeing.
- Implement behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain a tidy and organised classroom environment.
- Provide individualised support to students with specific needs.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents.
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and adaptable individual with the following qualities:
- A deep comprehension of the diverse needs associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.
- An ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of individual students, particularly those facing mental health challenges.
- A patient and understanding approach, when facing challenging behaviour.
- A proactive and open mindset, working in a multidisciplinary team.
