Science Teacher – Secondary (KS3 to KS4)
Location: Worksop
Start date: ASAP/February 2025
Salary: £140 – £190 per day
GSL Education South Yorkshire are looking to employ an exceptional and qualified Teacher of Science to work within secondary schools and academies located in Worksop to start immediately. If you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a qualified teacher available after the ongoing academic term, we encourage you to apply as well!
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to utilise a diverse range of teaching techniques to offer a robust learning experience in Science subjects. This is an exciting position which requires a hardworking, conscientious, and experienced individual with a strong track record of raising attainment.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold PGCE in Secondary Science with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Specialise in Chemistry, Biology or Physics to GCSE standards.
- Have prior teaching experience within the last two years, which can be referenced (training placements are acceptable).
- Raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one at once. DBS sponsorship is available for this role!
