Maths Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £31650 – £49084 per annum
Start Date: February 2025 and Easter 20225
Are you a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher looking for long-term teaching opportunities?
GSL Education is seeking dedicated and inspiring Maths Teachers to join our team and work in schools across York and the surrounding areas. We have long-term placements available for educators who are committed to making a difference in the classroom and helping students succeed.
As a Maths Teacher working with GSL Education, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailoring your approach to suit the needs of students.
- Teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with opportunities to work with Key Stage 5 (A-Level) if desired.
- Use innovative and engaging teaching methods to foster a love of mathematics and build students’ confidence in the subject.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure continued improvement.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership teams to support student outcomes.
As a Teacher of Maths with GSL Education, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience with A-Level maths is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for maths and a commitment to inspiring students to reach their full potential.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
