Behaviour Support (HLTA)

Location: Boston, Lincolnshire

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Job Type: Full-time

Are you an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour?

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support (HLTA) to join a secondary school in Boston, working within their behaviour support team. This role focuses on providing dedicated behaviour support to students, helping them develop positive strategies, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support (HLTA):

  • Delivering structured interventions to address behavioural needs.
  • Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour.
  • Helping students develop coping mechanisms and self-regulation skills.
  • Fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for the Behaviour Support (HLTA):

  • Previous experience as a HLTA or in a similar role, particularly in behaviour support.
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and act as a positive role model.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., HLTA status) is desirable.
