Job Role: Geography Teacher
School: A comprehensive co-educational secondary school in Tower Hamlets
Rate: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term until the end of the academic year

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Geography lessons to students across KS3 to KS5.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and participate in department meetings.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and its ethos through extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students to succeed.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Valid DBS registered on the update service.
  • Professional references to support your application.
