Job Title: Physical Education (PE) Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full Time/Part Time

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Graduates to join our team in Bournemouth as Physical Education (PE) Teaching Assistant (TA). This is a fantastic opportunity to help students excel in their physical education and achieve their full potential.
About the Role
As a PE Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the action, inspiring and motivating students to reach their full potential in physical education. You'll team up with PE teachers to deliver dynamic one-on-one and group support, helping students master new skills and excel in a variety of sports. Your role will also include preparing engaging lesson materials, energising classroom activities, and helping students track their progress and celebrate their achievements.
Key Responsibilities of PE Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Collaborate with PE teachers to create tailored learning plans that address the specific needs of each student. Regularly review and adjust these plans to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
- Offer individual and small group interventions to help students improve their physical skills. Use evidence-based strategies to support students in developing their understanding of various sports and physical activities.
- Teach and reinforce effective training techniques, helping students to understand and engage with their physical education. Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behaviour.
- Work alongside PE teachers to implement learning strategies that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support teachers in addressing learning challenges and fostering a culture of respect and cooperation.
- Maintain detailed records of students’ progress and any interventions used. Provide regular updates to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties to ensure a coordinated approach to each student’s development.
- Ensure that students receive comprehensive support by collaborating with counsellors, social workers, and other professionals to address the broader needs of students and their families.
Requirements of PE Teaching Assistant (TA)
- A graduate in sports or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their physical education journey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in physical education are desirable.
