Job Title: SEMH Graduate

Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a graduate passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of young learners while building valuable experience in the education sector? If so, GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Graduate to join a welcoming school in Lincoln.

About the Role: As an SEMH Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with learning and develop critical social and emotional skills. Working closely with the school staff, you will provide tailored support to individuals or small groups to ensure they thrive in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students with SEMH needs to provide focused support.
  • Assist in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet students’ unique requirements.
  • Support classroom teachers in managing behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills through structured interventions.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment where all students can succeed.

Requirements

  • A degree in psychology, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
