SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Winchester
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Winchester. In this role, you will be key in helping students with additional learning needs reach their full potential, providing tailored support in both classroom and individual settings. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who are passionate about helping students overcome challenges and achieve success.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, assisting them with their learning.
- Help implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Support students in both academic tasks and personal development, promoting confidence and independence.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure each child’s needs are met.
- Assist with personal care when required, maintaining the dignity and well-being of students.
Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with SEN is preferred, but not essential.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
