Art & Graphics Teacher
Location: Bromley

Salary: £150-£250 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an enthusiastic and creative educator with expertise in both Art and Graphics?

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic Art & Graphics Teacher to join a secondary school in Bromley starting immediately. The ideal candidate will inspire students in Key Stage 3 Art and Key Stages 3 & 4 Graphics, fostering creativity and a passion for visual expression. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator looking to make a meaningful impact on students' artistic development.

As an Art & Graphics Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that stimulate creativity and critical thinking. You’ll be responsible for preparing students for assessments, supporting their artistic skills, and ensuring they meet academic standards in both Art and Graphics.

Responsibilities of an Art & Graphics Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in KS3 Art and KS3 & KS4 Graphics that align with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to develop their artistic abilities and technical skills in both traditional and digital media.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their work, encouraging their artistic growth.
  • Prepare and organise materials, resources, and displays to enhance the learning environment.
  • Assess, track, and report on student’s progress and achievements in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative and engaging teaching strategies.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and respect.
  • Support students in preparing portfolios for GCSE assessments in Graphics.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, fostering a love for Art and Graphics beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends and advancements in Art and Graphics education.

Art & Graphics Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Experience teaching Art at KS3 and Graphics at KS3 & KS4.
  • Strong knowledge of digital design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and traditional artistic techniques.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with a passion for nurturing students' creativity.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
