Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate
Location: Grantham
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you a recent graduate passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, GSL Education are looking for dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Graduates to join a vibrant school in Grantham. As a SEND Graduate, you will provide dedicated support to students with diverse needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive within an inclusive environment.
Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students to support their individual learning and development.
- Assist in implementing personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging students to engage in classroom activities.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students overcome barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Observe and report on students’ progress, offering insights to inform ongoing support plans.
- Help maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Special Educational Needs and Disability Graduate Requirements:
- A degree in Special Educational Needs, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
