Primary SEN Teacher

Location: Poole

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 annually (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: Immediate / April 2025

Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

Responsibilities of a Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering individualized lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and confidence.
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants, specialists, and families to support student development.
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting strategies to ensure success.

Requirements for a Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and child protection, supported by an Enhanced DBS certificate or a willingness to apply for one.
  • A positive and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
