Primary SEN Teacher

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 annually (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: Immediate / April 2025

Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Bournemouth. Responsibilities of a Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Implementing strategies to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and Speech and Language Needs.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to ensure students receive holistic support.
  • Monitoring student progress, setting goals, and adapting teaching approaches as necessary.
  • Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated.

Requirements for a Primary SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with a current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
