Job Title: Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher)
Location: Sunderland

Salary: £150 - £ 220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

As a Secondary ECT, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to secondary school students. This role offers a blend of daily supply opportunities and long-term positions to match your career goals and aspirations.

Responsibilities of the Secondary Early Career Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and motivating lessons in your area of expertise.
  • Support the academic, emotional, and social development of students.
  • Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students’ progress, providing feedback to help them reach their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and training and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements of the Secondary Early Career Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent graduation as an ECT, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
