Job Title: Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher)
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £150 - £ 220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

As a Secondary ECT, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to secondary school students. This role offers a blend of daily supply opportunities and long-term positions to match your career goals and aspirations.
Responsibilities of the Secondary Early Career Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and motivating lessons in your area of expertise.
- Support the academic, emotional, and social development of students.
- Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record students’ progress, providing feedback to help them reach their potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Attend staff meetings and training and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements of the Secondary Early Career Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent graduation as an ECT, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
