Location: South Manchester
Salary: M1-M6 PayScale (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: February 2025 Half Term or Sooner
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher for Girls to join a renowned school in South Manchester. As a Teacher of PE, you will empower female students to develop their physical skills, confidence, and teamwork abilities. Working in collaboration with school staff, you will deliver engaging lessons that promote fitness, health, and an appreciation for sports.
Responsibilities of a Teacher of Girls PE:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons for girls across school Key Stages.
- Promote the importance of fitness and healthy living, encouraging students to embrace physical activity.
- Organise and supervise sports events, extracurricular clubs, and competitions.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to inspire improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated.
- Manage equipment and resources to ensure safe and effective use during lessons and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and school sports programs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Act as a role model, inspiring students to develop teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
What we need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching PE to girls in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different skill levels and abilities.
- A commitment to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of students.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for one.
