Job Title: Spanish Teacher - Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
Location: Sheffield
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day
(Depending on experience)
Start time: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher looking to inspire students and ignite a passion for languages? If so, GSL Education are looking for a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Spanish Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. 

As a Spanish Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. You will play a key role in fostering a love for Spanish and encouraging students to achieve their full potential in language studies.

Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Prepare students for examinations, ensuring they meet or exceed their target grades.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the MFL department to develop resources and share best practices.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish at Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience at Key Stage 5 being desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
