Teaching Assistant
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)

In this role, you will be working closely with teaching staff to ensure that students receive the tailored support they need to succeed both academically and socially. You will be a key part of creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to flourish as a Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide individual or group support to help students engage with their lessons and reach learning objectives.
- Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom resources.
- Encourage active participation and positive behaviour within the classroom.
- Support students in understanding and completing their classwork.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as breaks or lunchtimes.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support students’ academic and personal development.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Adhere to school policies and maintain high standards of behaviour management.
For the Teaching Assistant role, what we need:
- Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting as a Teaching Assistant (TA) is preferred.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous.
- CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support students effectively.
- A flexible and proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and how to support students in meeting learning goals.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
