Teaching Assistant
Location: Fareham
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll play a vital role in assisting students to achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals. Working closely with teachers, you’ll help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students are supported and inspired to succeed.
As a Teaching Assistant, what you’ll do:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Assist in the preparation of lesson plans, materials, and resources.
- Support students in understanding and completing classwork.
- Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.
- Assist teachers in monitoring student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to meet the needs of all students.
- Uphold school policies and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
Requirements for a TA:
- Experience working in an educational setting or as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous.
- CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare, or equivalent qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and staff.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the varying needs of the classroom.
- An understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to align with learning objectives.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and a commitment to their success.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
