Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time

Are you experienced in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and passionate about making a difference in their educational journey?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional SEN school in Lincoln. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities of a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Offer one-to-one and group support to secondary-aged students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting lessons to meet students' needs.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to deliver high-quality, student-focused support.
  • Support students with their social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements of a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Previous experience working in an SEN setting or with students with additional needs is essential.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
