About the Role: As a Support Worker in Bournemouth, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with various needs. You will work closely with other staff members to deliver personalised support, helping individuals overcome challenges and thrive in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities of Support Worker:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support: Assist individuals with their daily activities and personal development, using evidence-based strategies to help them achieve their goals.
  • Implementing care plans: Work with other staff to develop and implement care plans that address the specific needs of each individual.
  • Supporting daily activities: Help create a positive and inclusive environment by supporting daily activities and managing behaviour.
  • Encouraging social and emotional development: Assist individuals in developing social skills and emotional resilience, promoting positive interactions and self-regulation techniques.
  • Monitoring progress: Keep detailed records of individuals’ progress and behaviour, providing regular updates to relevant parties.
  • Collaborating with external agencies: Work with counsellors, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for individuals and their families.

Requirements of Support Worker:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with various needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in care or support work are desirable but not essential.
