About the Role
As a Classroom Nursing Assistant in Bournemouth, you will play a vital role in supporting students' health and well-being, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities of Classroom Nursing Assistant
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised health plans for students, tailoring care activities and resources to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand and complete their work, and providing additional explanations and assistance as needed.
- Monitor and assess student health and progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for supporting each student’s learning and well-being.
- Help foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where all students feel valued and included.
- Employ different instructional techniques and materials to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Keep detailed notes on each student’s development and communicate this information to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
Requirements of Classroom Nursing Assistant
- Experience working with students in a healthcare or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
- Show a deep commitment to helping students by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.
- Additional qualifications or training in nursing or special education are advantageous but not mandatory, providing you with additional skills and knowledge to support students effectively.
